Why is that? Not enough players/interest? Or just no-one willing to pick up the reins?

I prefer a tourney or mini in a tourney that has a theme. Three or four scenarios that have cavalry, night, Gurkhas, etc. -- randomness does not hone any single skill.

Thanks to all who responded. The results are in line with what I expected although I thought there would be a few votes for uniformity.

When I was attending events format was not a consideration. I either had the time and resources or didn't. Lol Fish always had both and would attend almost every event held in the country. Those experiences and Don Munsell's ideas led to Oktoberfest.
