The US M3A1 37mm ATG and M3A1 75mm ART both use vehicle note "C," which increases their Canister Depletion number in the PTO by 3, to 10 and 7, respectively. If the US side is designated as Elite as well (C8.2), are those numbers increased an additional +1?

Just checking that there wasn't some exception I was missing. Never had the luxury of a Special Ammo available on anything but a 12. Thanks.
Well once you roll 11 you won't have it anymore either.

Be aware though, the "Elite" status of a formation must be annotated as such by SSR [EXC: SS or Russian Guards (C8.2)] and not just because the units in a formation are ELITE (e.g. USMC) for the increase in special ammo depletion numbers to kick in.

Yes, the scenario in question, DB 146 "Opening Battle For Hill 700" has this SSR for both sides.

Yes, I know (you rules gurus can be real buzz-kills sometimes). Still, better than C10.
Sure. If you want to be a powder-puff. The best way to fight tough is to put a stick in yer eye and don't take it out until the fighting's done. Treat it as a C5. Show your opponent who wants it more.

The funny thing about having a high depletion number for Canister is, although you will (on average) get to fire it more often, it will (on average) be less effective than typical.

When your C number is low, you don't have it as often, but when you do have it, boy do you let them have it.
