Playing EA as the Allies and we're in a sitzkreig right now.

The problem I'm having is that I'm trying to transfer some fighter Groups from England to France, but the game won't let me do it. One of the fighter groups I tried to send even got stuck in mid-channel. I had to send it back to its base.

Any idea why this is happening?
:hmmm:

Ah I know this one. In the stitzkreig you cant move into enemy
controlled zones, and TOAW has a weird way of determining who controls sea
hexes. Whats happening is that you're trying to move your fighters through
hexes that are axis controlled - you'll find the same thing with sea
movement.

If I were to move a friendly naval unit into the channel, would it satisfy the ZOC requirements?

Well I assume that if you'd done this before the cease fire event it would have done the job. A bit late, now.

There must be a route you can take between the UK and France which doesn't go through "Axis" sea-zones.

P.S.... the phrase "phoney war" is much more elegant than "sitzkrieg".

I've found this too, but don't automatically assume that, because the air unit won't move to the next airbase in a straight line, it won't go at all. Try other airbases, or changing direction wherever the air unit gets stuck. Doesn't always work, but worth a bit of trial and error.

Naval units sometimes do the same.
