Uncommon Valor question

Are hexes such as K10 and J17 hammada or crags? They look like hammada but there are a number of SSR's for crags but no obvious crag hexes on the map (possibly H30).

This is a 1st edition map.

Pretty sure they are crags.
Note that the rules do not say DTO is in effect only that desert open ground and sand apply.
They woukd have needed to incorporate F.1 for the board to be desert.

Looking at the 2nd edition map (much MUCH better than the 1st edition). They ( K10 and J17 for example) are crag hexes and the 2nd ed. rules do specifically say Hammada is not found on the map but Scrub is.
