The Epstein story reminds us of how similar these two miscreants are.

https://www.salon.com/2019/07/13/jeffrey-epstein-is-donald-trumps-idea-of-the-perfect-man/

"I really wonder what everyone is doing getting their dander up about this disgusting sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, when we’ve got one in the White House. We’ve known about Trump not for years, but for decades. ... The American people put Donald Trump there with their votes. It’s up to us to get him out and put him where he belongs, behind bars alongside his pal Epstein."
- Lucian Truscott IV.

How low America has fallen.. Unbelievable.

This is real: I overheard a co-worker (at work) was saying how Epstein's parties involved Democrats and their supporters, including Obama and the Clintons. And that girls were held in underground caves and tortured.

If you thinking I am making one word of this up, think again. That is literally what I heard at work.

In the Trump world, the best defense is a good offense. Turn your faults onto your opponents.

I totally believe this. I use to run a shipping Dept. and one day had a driver come in for a pick up. He was vehemently opposed to Obama (& Democrats in general) and he truly believed that they had a plan to seize ALL private owners firearms. I tried to explain to him that the Constitution would need to be changed, and the process needed to accomplish that, but he was so far gone that I couldn't even get him to even think past his beliefs. Nothing I said could pierce his beliefs. This was about a year before tRUMP. Look back to the individual that stormed the pizza shop that was supposedly tied to HRC and was the epicenter for a vast pedophile ring.

The far right machine is firing on all pistons and the crazies are there to lap it up.

Meanwhile, Trump brags about walking around the dressing room during Ms Teen Universe. Brags about assaulting women. And they still support him.

Sounds like the Pizza parlor thing all over again. Are we know re-creating rumors like Hollywood re-cycles movies? -- jim

Almost word for word, and w/o exaggeration. And related to Epstein, so new. It was stated in a straightforward way as a matter of fsct.

I told you about my In-Laws. They go apoplectic at the mention of the word Democrat. I can really see this happening. The 'word' is spread on the far right media pages and their believers are right there, sucking it up.

Last week I was hanging on in the dispatch office and two individuals were talking about the 'socialists' plan for healthcare in America and how bad it [healthcare] is in Canada. I just let them talk. Meanwhile they pay premiums in the hundreds (each month) and have a $6,000 a year deductible and they think that a tax funded healthcare would be so bad. You just shake your head.

The fact that Witchbottles here, who otherwise appears to be a normal ASL poster, has identified Biden as a pedophile in this forum, shows there is a subculture out there, and it is not small at all. At least your relatives are sort of on a comparatively reasonal political topic. Of course in Canada, they (the Canadians), are all glad they aren't in the US healthcare system.. And I know because I am half Canadian and used to live there.

It never ceases to amaze how older white guys have fallen so hard for the BS that Fox, Rush, and other right-wing propaganda sources have warped their minds.

Being one of those kind of guys, I've seen it in my old buddies who I once thought had their heads on straight. There is something incredibly insidious about this right-wing propaganda that has captured the minds of these guys. The motives on both sides of this insidious relationship between the consumers (junkies) and the purveyors (dealers) is known. Confidence in the face of their personal fears, and money, respectively. Not an easy relationship to break.

It's called parents. These are people whose own parents were born before the Civil Rights era. They were trained to hate. I recognize it in my grand parents and I recognize it in my own parents. Recalling my aunts and uncles and all of their friends and families. The so called "propaganda" is nothing more than appealing to the way they were raised. I am sure you're own parents had some sense of it for much the same reason. I grew out out of it. I raised my own to be different. Eventually, it won't matter but it takes times. We didn't get here in two generations and we won't get out in two either. JMO. YMMV. -- jim

You might have hit the correct vein here. My Father was totally opposed to bi-racial marriages of any kind but he was also totally against pre-marital sex. I had to move out :).

Our grandparents grew up in a different world. They created a different world for us. Hopefully, we create a different world for our own children. -- jim

Anybody subscribe to HBO? There is a great little series called "Years and Years", about the near future, featuring a lot of technology and politics and a crumbling world. Takes place in Britain (complete with a rise of a political figure who is somewhat like Trump, but different enough to be different). It takes an episode or two to get the hang of it, but pretty good stuff.

Spanky has proclaimed he is not a fan of Epstein, I guess he doesn't like perverts who have been captured. (Epstein has just been refused bail)

That investigation and trial will bring down a shit load of people. It''l be fun to watch.

True. It takes time. Same pattern for my family. Chicagoans - Southside, including cops. I still cringe, but each generation gets better.
