Preview for Ice Cold In Alex looks like a different one. Nothing to do with four people and an ambulance.
I don't think it was the Rat Patrol (maybe?). But I think it was a movie and much better done.
Yes, jeeps and trucks. Several in the group that were going over the ridge (very steep rocky plus sand, not a big sand dune). I recall they were trying to either take a short cut or or get over the ridge to hide from a German column that was closing in on them. I don't remember what was going on elswhere in the movie.
