Just started the Ortona CG playtest last week; now we must suspend it because of COVID-19. Small beans compared to the real world, I know, but last week felt like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

This will be between 6 and 18 months before it settles down. We all shelter now, but when kids go back to school in the fall, we will probably see another spike. I have seen some projections where this isn't over until we are all exposed and sorted. -- jim

Canada seems to be in good shape as far as this goes, but also probably foolish to think there is really any way of predicting when it will end.

Despite the numerous “moving targets,” experts say the outbreak is unlikely to last all year. ... Abdu Sharkawy, another infectious disease specialist who spoke to CTV’s Your Morning on Tuesday, said he believes that using mathematical models are “only helpful in terms of heightening our sense of vigilance and awareness. If nothing is done and everyone carries on as normal, the outbreak will likely peak sooner than later-- in the coming weeks to one or two months...."

Started with CdG / Dinant storage. Scenarios and rules, easy. Counters.... Spent now quite some time re-organizing older stuff to make sure the new counters can be incorporated. If any of my PBEM VASL opponents see this please send me a move I need a distraction.

Prepared a new VASL file & defensive setup for the upcoming game of FT266 "A Fine Mess..."

Hopefully, my defense is not up to the scenario title...

Cutting out and clipping selected TPP counters like 7-4-7 assault engineers, Allied/Axis location control, Allied/Axis perimeter markers; anything that can be useful for any ASL match.

All being well once I finish the Black Barricades CG I am going to play the whole thing again but this time on the CH Berlin map (the Reichstag map not Tyrant's Lair). Using the exact same OOB and CG design. Unless Covid-19 gets me first.

Spent the day racking my brains over how to spend a mere 8 CPP in CdG's Dinant CG and where to deploy the battalion of at start troops. Forward? In depth?.

Also need to figure how to spend 20 CPP for the second CG date (13 May afternoon) since the French have to plan one CG Date ahead due to slower command response time.

<<Sigh>> Où sont les réserves

Pas encore disponible?!?!

La vieille garde? ?

Non?? Tabernac!! ?

☎

Allo, Vincennes, donne-moi le général Gamelin! Rapidement!

Oui, mon General. La situation est très grave. Nous avons un problème ?

Finished printing out vehicle cards for the Americans from a PDF package my kids got me awhile ago. Before cutting them out (there are 2 to a page), I've added photos of the vehicles on the back. Went to start the British, but need more ink.....

I believe I bought the same online PDF files with every AFV & Gun in ASL, too. I'm holding off on the printing though until I get one of those Megatank printers with the cheap ink. :)

Clipped turrets from Countersmith Workshop that I bought about 3 years ago (before getting the riding mower ready for the season). Now for some pbem logs!
