I'm putting together a second set of counters. For the last week, I've been punching and trimming the Axis Minors and said to myself, "Self, do all these guns need to be punched?" This led me to do a search on the Scenario Archive.

I searched each gun and used the In My Collection criteria to see if I have any scenarios that use these. If they don't then I won't add them to the set.
Green, the gun is in at least one scenario, Orange, no scenario. I should have done this with the vehicles and the Allied Minors. I might go back and do that. It was a bit of work.

What a wonderful idea: acquire a new scenario, need a new counter storage plan. OCD counter organizers will love this.

(This kind of statistics is why I'm a bit skeptical when people mention "rare vehicles and guns" packs. I mean, even those "not officially rare" counters don't always appear in existing scenarios...)

I'll take my chances. Not the OCD type. They haven't been used in 18 years.

Revisit 'fighting withdrawal', thinking about what is '131st Border Battalion'? is Infantry Regiment 131 of 71st Division?

In the soon-to-happen Canadian ASL Open, there is one scenario using Free French counters. I finally have some motivation to cut them out and clip their corners.

Did a face-to-face playtest of a scenario with its designer tonight.

I contrived to Malfunction every single one of my five SW/Guns!

You think this is bad?

Moreover, I contrived to Malfunction 60% of all my SW/Guns twice!

And one of these permanently X'ed out on its repair attempt.

Heck, we need a new rule in ASL that allows for picking up rocks from the ground to throw at the enemy...

There is in the first Hazmo pack a rule for the rock throwing

I won a close ftf playing of AP87 Empire's Fall vs Steve Johns as the Japanese on Friday, the 2 ELR for most of his force killed him in the end, then yesterday lost a close VASL game of SP80 Die Gurkha Die! vs Steve Anderson, as the Japanese again (I'm a glutton for punishment!) with me just not having enough time left to grab the last few huts I needed. Both are great scenarios and highly recommend them.
