Wouldn't we all?
Seriously though, congratulations on hitting 15,000 posts. Well done, Herr Oberst!

I dropped into VASL and - holy smokes - this has to be a record number of games going on. I've never seen this before!

Note, at least 10 of these are single player rooms, which might indicate someone forgot to disconnect (I know it happens to me sometimes). But still, it's a nice sight!

I was there, too, but did’t really notice the extent. I’m sure you’re right!

Working on the pairings for the second round of Close Assault 1 starting 1st March.
Preparing for a Midnight start for my VASL League Round 1 game in 25 hours - Deadline pressure? Bah, Humbug! I'll just have to "Play Faster!â„¢".
Working through the preliminary blurbs for the themed mini-campaigns for Close Assault 2, 3 and 4.
researching detailed visual info on the Shohatsu and Daihatsu as a trophy for a themed online tourney I'm in the preliminary stages of planning.

I think I am using your tabs for my "retired" set of counters with the intention of "maxiumum counter density".

Sat: Attended West Coast Melee. Played two pickup games. Both as the defending Germans and lost both but they were close and fun games. AP 106 Helluva Patrol Leader and J193 Raff's Rules

Sun: Back at WCM and was expecting more pickup games but another person was needed to fill out a deluxe mini. When the president of the club asks you say "Yes Mr. President for life." Went 2-0 and qualified for the final playing the Germans in each game. My opponent will be @fenyan but because I was not planning on attending on Sunday, we decided to play the final in an upcoming club game day. Games played MM76 Illi's Block and J206 Collect Call.

@Ric any opinions on Illi's Block / Collect Call as to fun factor / balance?
Illi's Block was fun. Giving the Canucks the 3rd Sherman as the balance is ok. My opponent was cautious in is approach and did not use smoke from the tanks. Game came down to the final turn where he had to throw everything that was left to try to get into CC with the one good order, concealed MMC I had in the last victory area. He didn't get in. There was a Melee that could have gone my way to that would have given the win also.

Collect Call was fun but my opponent gacked the setup by fortifying the stairwell hexes which I occupied at the start, thus encircling the upper floors. I think he also put too much emphasis on stopping my turn 1 and 2 reinforcements and not enough troops in the main building. He also did not take advantage of the SSR allowing free deployment which to me lots of SSRs are hints on how to play a scenario.

The personalities of the opponents add to the fun. Winning helps too :)

I read the scenarios from Journal 15. Several look interesting to me. When I started to read the Korean one, I was surprised at the SSR load. It is also an ambush scenario, one of the hardest things to replicate.
