Well, I think that the diversity we are all trying to provide is good for ASL. Saying that the editors are not doing their job is, let's say.... weird. Personnally, I wouldn't have stated about any other editor that "
he's not doing his job".
I enjoy playing most of Schwerpunkt scenarios, but I wouldn't like to play ONLY their scenarios since I do like other
styles as well.
HoB did great campaign games. LCP has started with scenarios packs and has been publishing for several years now a new type of products, with historical maps, sometimes counters and even CGs. BFP is nearly as good as we are (pun
definitely intended
) and can design monsters such as PiF as well as tiny scenarios, included in CoS or smaller products like Corregidor, ITR, and so many gems. Our Swedish friends have followed the path of Schwerpunkt with Tournament oriented scenarios. Let's see what the Italians who are developing some kind of "Operational ASL" will bring to the system. Vic have been releasing his Dispatches for years now, and his Bunker's scenarios are great. All these producers have their own style... I am sure I forgot others, but I say it again, it's our diversity that makes ASL so great.
So I can understand that for some people it may be annoying to have a scenario printed on separate sheets, but this won't make us stick to some other editor's style and will remain "Franc-Tireurs"
Anyway, Evan is a Tanker... I am a Marine
Best,
X
