Saumur is a top-notch museum. As well, they parade some runners around a track in July during their annual carousel; similar to Bovington's Tank Fest.
I had the opportunity to enter a Leopard tank turret during a visit to the Canadian War Museum. I'm 5' 4", so not a problem getting in or out. Everything is within very easy reach.

I set up and ran a demo game in the Bovington museum on an anniversary of D-Day. Tried to do a slice of the Epsom battle. Unfortunately pre-internet and the late Ian Daglish's books we were pretty much in the dark and it was quite inaccurate. Interesting experience and got into the museum free, though didn't have enough time to look around properly. This would be over 20 years ago. Maybe 1994.
