Board 9 came up in the ASL Bell Tolls thread and when I see any of those Rogue boards mentioned I can't help but flashing back to how garish they were.

Does anyone have any info on the development of them? Thanks!

They were damned wretches, but they have seen a full redemption.
First resurrection as mounted boards.
Second resurrection as SK style boards.
Nobody knows if the Lord will land on them during his second Advent, however.

IIRC, one of the 2 Half Squads' recent episodes (the Charlie Kibler or Rex Martin one I think) mentioned their origins. They were drawn up by a AH office worker who thought they could do just as good a job as the original maps. Clearly not.

Per an article in The General, Charlie Kibler is credited for the rogue boards (see CV block lower left below):

He discusses it at approximately the 10 minute mark. Marge an ex-Nun who worked for Monarch Avalon did them.

I stand corrected and concede defeat...

You have not been defeated, simply illuminated.

vM imagine having played with a handful of boards for years and anticipating the release of new ones that almost doubled what was available. Then we saw those! That's why Rogue boards are seared into my brain.🤣

I'm not sure what happened to the case Rex sent. It was in my attic for a while but I didn't see it the last time I sort of cleaned it. Hidden treasures perhaps.

While we are on the topic, if anyone has extra copies of 9 or 11 (or 33 for that matter) in the modern SK style they wouldn't mind parting with for postage and a price of their choosing please PM me! A surprising number of scenarios use them and they aren't available for individual purchase at MMP any more.

I remember when they were first advertised in The General, I bought them straight away. The disappointment upon seeing them rivaled my disappointment of the original CoI German AFV’s printed on the reverse side of the counter.

Disappointed. That's putting it mildly.😉
