And the Mayan clocks mike make a difference if this was 21 December, the last day of the Mayan calendar. Today has nothing to do with that other than a bunch of tards outside GS who can't read the news and so make themselves look like twits with all their end of the world today posts! <GRIN>

As opposed to all the tards INSIDE GS who make themselves look like twits as a matter of course.

I include myself in that grouping. :p

I'm not even mayonaisan, preferring salad cream.

Way I see it, not one prediction of the end of the world has so far come true. So far. Even the inclusion of an IIFT in the ASLRB didn't do it. We can all learn from the world's continuing failure to cease to exist, unlike the Mayans, whose waveform packet has collapsed.

Unless the world already has come to an end, and our sub-conscious minds have yet to accept this fact and we continue on as if everything is fine.

12 AD or 12 CE was before the adoption of the AD system.

In Rome it would have been known as the year of the consuls Germanicus Julius Caesar and C. Fonteius Capito or less commonly as year 765 Ab urbe condita.

I read there was a lot of tension about at the time BCE flipped to CE.

All the abacuses were expected to crash.

They also had to melt down all the wax tablets (cerae) and make new ones.

Yeah, there was a major clusterfvck. They went straight from 1 BC to 1 AD with no 0 in between. So 4 BC to 7 AD was 10 years not 11 (7 - (-4) = 7 + 4).

We had to wait for Pol Pot before we had a year 0.

I believe today was also sound check day in the music world...someone will have to explain that to Martin Meyers since he's a drummer.

Yes. When someone pointed out this to me I was delighted.
