Hey at least you had the 9ers & Raiders. You can at least remember a title. Heck, Golden State even has a title of more recent vintage than Cleveland by a decade plus...

Now I guess with 6 local pro teams, you do have twice the failure of Cleveland each year...

exactly.
sports talk radio is pretty much a daily litany of failure.
(except for Tim Lincecum)
and, add in the Suck-ramento Kings to the mix for more misery.
geez i hope the Magoofs pick up their toys and move to Vegas.

You have to wonder who in their right mind would want to coach 'professionally' these days when moody, petulant athletes can lay down and quit at any time.
For $4.5M per I'd be willing to deal with 'em for a few years. Might not be fun, but that's a lot of cash. And half of 'em roll into a nice talking head role as Color Analyst too after that and that's gotta' pay $500K or so for a fairly easy schedule. They are very well compensated to put up with those guys not listening to 'em/quitting on 'em...

Forgot about Sac-Town - make that 7 - that's 133% more failure than Cleveland every year produced by NoCal sports teams! Hey, I'm starting to feel slightly better about our lot in life on the North Coast. :p

It would almost be shocking if the Kings don't end up in Vegas. It's where the Maloofs want to be and it's a huge growth market. There's that little gambling issue to work out though. 'Course who in their right mind would bet on the Kings? Problem solved! :devious: That would be a nice home court advantage though...

no disrespect meant, but gary, indiana, is home to the foulest water i've met in the eastern US. my wife and i stopped there en route to a wedding in indy and we could taste the difference in fountain soda.
San Angelo Texas. After living for years in Colorado/Wyoming, I never felt a need or desire for bottled water. That all changed when I spent 6 months in San Angelo.

And not all "Rocky Mountain" water is all that good. Wamsutter Wyoming on the edge of Red Desert, in the early 70's before people sold bottled water. They had to drill so damn deep for water in that place it stunk of sulphur. Nothing worse than tying on a bender, waking up with cotton mouth, and having to use that water to deal with it.
