The Grist Mill set up

I played The Grist Mill at the SoCal ASL club Saturday game day.

There is a scrounged wreck at setup and the Americans get 3 sangars. I placed a sangar in the same hex as the wreck. My opponent and I agreed that the squad with the .50cal gets a +1 for the sangar and a +1 for the wreck. Did we play this right?

Not cumulative..

Thanks. Good thing it had no bearing on the game out come as my opponent never got to shoot at that hex.
