"In the Mouth of Madness" is probably the best Cthulhlu-esque movie ever made.

Although Carpenter's recent movies have been rather bland, "Halloween" has some incredible directing and cinematography.

However, when it comes to horror directors, no one beats George Romero or Dario Argento.
"In the Mouth of Madness" was so well written and directed it deserved a much better review than it got. The twists and turns in the film had me going for some time and the ending was the kind I like to see every once in awhile.

As for George Romero being one of the greatest horror directors I completely agree.

Romero I like. I can't place Argento. His movies?
Argento is an Italian director. Suspiria, Tenebre, and Deep Red (Profundo Russo) are his best known films. Suspiria is regarded by many as the greatest horror movie ever made, and it's definitely an incredible movie to see, if for nothing else other than the amazing cinematography.

My quick list, probably I lot more (I'm concentrating on Sci-Fi since I've seen few horror movies and don't really care for them)-

#1- Independence Day :thumb: (others aren't in any order)
- Star Trek II (Wrath of Khan), IV (Voyage Home), VI (Final Frontier), VIII (First Contact), and X (Nemesis)
- Star Wars and Return of the Jedi
- All 3 Indiana Jones (I actually consider them adventure, but Richard put them on so I thought I would!)
- Lord of the Rings II and III
- Day the Earth Stood Still
- Godzilla (Original Japanese versions)
- Planet of the Apes (Original)
- Starship Troopers (GASP!)
- Logan's Run

Can't think of others right now
