This reminds me a lot of the German game "Mensch ärgere Dich nicht".


Before the advent of more modern Euro-Games this was the game that everyone in Germany knew and had played as a child.

Likely, it is older than merely 100 years. My guess is that German engineers brought it with them when we discovered America long before Columbus and taught the Indians how to adequately build their pyramids. ;)
