Sure it's a bit early but that didn't stop the Bicentennial planners.

I am not sure what I would like to see. A tribute to John Hill and Don Greenwood is a given. Perhaps some recollections of those who bought it in '77 would be nice. Still SL is a great game. In some ways more fun than ASL.
Tie the heretic to the nearest post and grab firewood and kindling. Use the SL counters as the kindling. Lol. I still love that game.

Whatever thoughts you have I would enjoy hearing. Might even spur some planning.

Happy Upcoming Fiftieth to all SL/ASL players! Past and present.
I purchased my first copy of Squad Leader in the Fall of 1977 at the now defunct Barnes and Noble Sales Annex right across the street from the main store on 18th street and 5th avenue in manhattan. It was the Purple box top version but the bottom box was the colorful orange one, not the plain blue one. i paid just 7.99. I know it was late fall because the subway station was freezing when i sat down to open the box and examine its contents. had i known that the purple box would become a collectors item i would have purchased two=one to save and one to play with.

I would like to see MMP release the original squad leader game plus the three gamettes in a commemorative bookcase style offering with a wrap around colorful print of the front of each of the original boxes .
