Ok, here is a situation I encountered playing Hill 621. I have two tanks, during the russian turn, the red infantry enters into CC. No effect on either side. Next turn, during my prep fire phase, after breaking the infantry with MG fire, they are killed with the MA, which retains ROF. Question; by reading the rules, my opponent and I came to the conclusion that the rules state that a tank which starts with enemy infantry in it own hex cannot fire outside that hex. Did we play this right?

Once the infantry is gone, the tank can fire outside its hex. I think the rule actually says something like "units that have a Point Blank Fire or Triple Point Blank Fire target can't fire at units further away..."

Obviously not an exact quote, but I don't think it ever says you can't fire out of the hex if you "start" with enemy infantry in your hex.
