Except they contradict the rules: "A.12 WHITE COUNTERS: All counters printed on a white background can be used by any nationality and are often informational or memory devices only."
Note that the rule also use the word "often" not "always", like you seems to imply.

What the heck!
ALL rules/SSR/procedures are variants on real life in any and all cases.
Specially in ASL.

They create no more problems than the black SS - as the Fanatic system marker is black too.
The point is that there is a specific rule about counters that have a white background (A.12). There is no equivalent rule for counters that do not have a white background. You could, if you wanted, have a nationality with white-on-red (same as the Melee counters). I don't personally think it would be a very good idea, but no rules issues would be caused by doing so.

Do people find A.12 too complex a rule to understand? Does it need errata? Back in 1st edition days we would bitterly complain about the Human Wave and Bocage rules, clearly this is the one that should have caused all the ire.

I didn't say it was a "problem", I said it was "the point". Do you not understand the difference?

In any case MMP certainly understands the difference and have implemented a solution, and quite a painless one at that. It's not clear to me why people still want to go on about it.

Do you realise that you stated nothing new and that I didn't need you to point me the so-called problem.
I get easily over a tension about a line in the rules about white counters.
And, as you seem to vainly try telepathic skills on me, I ordered MMP's redux of Swedish Volunteers and I will go along with their choice of counter colour. No opposition from me.
If they had kept with white counters, I would have been able to live with it too - you not, apparently.

I don't mind the colors either way but it sure does make for some confusion in my alternate-reality scenario where the Italians and French invade Finland & Sweden.
Just wait until the Germans and Chinese make their appearance!

So you don't understand the difference. That seems a shame.

In any case, why are you still going on about it? Do you have a post quota?
