Is a swamp, the PTO terrain version of a non-flooded marsh in the ETO, considered inherent terrain? I thought for sure it was considered inherent, but now in a recent game when we "re-looked" it up we think it is NOT inherent because we couldn't find it in the rules. Just checking.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

check the terrain divider. If there bis a black square beide the terain type then it is inherent if none then it is not. NRBH so I ca'tchek just now.

Nothing in G7.x states that Swamp is treated as Inherent Terrain. In fact, G7.1 says:

7.1 Whenever PTO Terrain (G.1) is in effect, each marsh hex that is adjacent to >= one jungle hex becomes a swamp hex. Swamp is treated as "non flooded" (B16.6) marsh except as stated otherwise. The effects of a swamp Location are not altered by the water depth of a stream/river. Swamp is never considered to be a Hindrance or Open Ground, or river or mudflat terrain.
Keep in mind that per G7.2, Swamp is treated as a two-level obstacle.
