Dear Squad Leader Player:

The 2012 Squad Leader Series Tournament is looking for players. If your interested in playing Squad Leader,
follow the link to register...

https://sites.google.com/site/2012squadleadertourny/home

The tournament is open to players of all experience levels and gamettes of the series (SQL, COI, COD, GIA)
Additionally, you may play all, some or just one of the rounds and may select a slow, moderate or fast
pace to fit your schedule. The goal of the tournament is simply to play Squad Leader, meet other players
and have fun.

We can even match new and returning players with an experienced one for a more instructional and less
competitive game. If you were on the fence about playing - don't be. This is a good opportunity to get
into the game.

So if your interested, take 5 minutes to click on the link above to register. I hope to see you in "The
Streets of Stalingrad" or where ever we meet.

Kind Regards,

Scott B on behalf of Bill Thomson,
Squad Leader Academy

July Summary

July saw the addition of one returning player with experience through GIA. There are now 25 participating players through month end and more have been added in the first week of August.

Three new games were added with five continuing players taking on additional games and one new player starting his first game of the tournament. This brings the total to 19 games as of July 31.

Four games were completed through July with all Allied victories. One was incomplete. Two games of Scenario 2, one game of TTS Beta “Hasty Assault” and one of Scenario 8 “The *****e Salient”.

A new AAR for Operation Hubertus, the German offensive to take the last tenth of Stalingrad tenaciously held by the 62nd Soviet Army, is available and in progress. Scenario 2000 was a monster from Avalon Hill and the Aftermath has a detailed description of the event of that day. Those interested in this battle might find the AAR interesting.

Re: Squad Leader Opponents Available (SL List Repost)

Dear Squad Leader Player:

I have a few players looking for a game of Squad Leader and/or Cross of
Iron. If you would like pick up a game now or within the next week, now is
the time to sign up. I'll be matching players and would like to include
any and all interested in a game.

Please email me at scott@wargameacademy.org to ensure your included in the list, even if
you've already told me. Include the level (SL, COI, etc), pace and if you
want a 'training' (for new/returning players) or non-training game.

We currently have about 30 Players and are continuing to add new players and games.

See the site...

Scott
