Stupid question about sigs

I know this is a stupid question but how do you put a picture in your sig? I've tried to put one in but it says its too large and that it has too be smaller than 100x100 pixels but I know most peoples sig pictures are bigger than that. (ps: i am sorry if i posted this in the wrong place or if this has been asked already)

And, no, 100 by 100 is avatars...unless you're talking about avatars...

Alright i've done it properly by putting the picture on imageshack, thanx for the help. (P.S I know my sig is crap, I did it in paint lol)
