I believe, but I could be wrong, that X said elsewhere that while he is on this deployment cycle, in the wilds off Central Africa, and with the limited comms and such that this item was in a bit of holding pattern.

I believe that he said that for all of LFT's products. Until he gets somewhere closer to normal civilization, there is not much that can be done. There is a ton, a TON of ASL already out there. Play that.

Hi Andy,

Not wrong, thanks Andy. I am still working on the Rat charts v2 but it takes longer than expected.
Nevertheless, I have managed to reach a kind of agreement with a local printer in order to avoid a trip to Phnom Penh early this year, and with a bit of luck there will be something within a few months.

I believe that he said that for all of LFT's products. Until he gets somewhere closer to normal civilization, there is not much that can be done.
Problem here are the lack of players of course, but worst, bad comms.... Sometimes Internet is soooooo slow that I can't even load a 5 Ko email. Thus, playtest sessions are really a PITA, despite LFT crew is resuming in Europe several other projects.

Best,

X

I missed out on the Rat Pack Pocket Charts. I will not make the same mistake again. These are not available anywhere I look. Hopefully will be out before the summer.

Of course I had to double check where Malabo is in relation to the equator to ensure that 'summer' starts June 21 2015 and not Dec 22 2015. :D

I'm still hoping that v2 is completely laminated :sneak:. I primarily use the IIFT, and when I do, I flip that page face up creating a one-page footprint on my gaming table. Unfortunately, this has resulted in the LC/HOB/CC page that is face down becoming severely worn. Yeah, I slide it around a lot on my wooden table, but full lamination would really provide some extra protection.

Always looking forward to any new LFT releases! :salute:

Hi;

I'm still hoping that v2 is completely laminated :sneak:.
Would like to but not really possible:

  • too heavy
  • too expensive
  • too thick
Actually, and because I _might_ print it in Africa, I am not even sure if the cover will be laminated. Although if it's not, all the pages will be a bit thicker than the former edition. Am working on it.

If the result is not good enough, then I will delay it till July / August and will print it in Cambodia.

Always looking forward to any new LFT releases! :salute:
Thanks :salute:

Hello Xavier,

Something that we ended up doing with the version 1 that might be of value for rev 2 is tabs calling out just what charts are on what page. Saves having to constant page through looking the the correct chart.

Just a thought....

Yes, this has been dealt with. Next version will be much easier.

Thanks for your "thought": it's helping us in providing you a better product.

Xavier,

Your team may want to get a hold of Hakkaa Paalle first before you finalize the charts. There were a lot of updated charts included in HP. QRCD, Chapter B, Chapter D, Chapter E, and The National Capabilities Chart (Chapter G?). I'm sure it probably has to do with the Finns but I haven't studied them enough to be sure. Just an FYI
