Congrats Rich, Toby and Scott!

Look forward to some AARs from them, Devries, Ginnard (?) and Wes(?). I'm sure it was a blast.

34 players this year. A good time was had by all I believe. Congrats Rich on the repeat.

The highlight for me was having Toby Pilling show up from across the pond. Too bad I didn't give him a better game, as I set up poorly and played poorly. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the game and I am glad he made the long trip.

Thanks to Jim Burris and Doug Kirk for the well run tourney, excellent scenario selection and barbecue. There is something special about this tourney, hard to put my finger on any one of many positives.

My AAR is in the AAR section

Many thanks to Jim and Doug. Second time there and now on my permanent list. Congrats to repeat winner Rich. Thanks to all my opponents: Jeff DeYoung, Phil Seymour, Mark DeVries, Scott Martin, and Bob Zinslemeyer.
That's two years at 4-1. A third last year and a fourth this year. Also, thanks to my traveling comrade, Tom Cvetinovich. Always a hoot when I'm with Tommy.

thanx Davegin. Hope to get you next time sir.....I had a poor setup as you pointed out in BUCKEYE BLITZ. Plus I like playing AGAINST the IJA but not AS the IJA...but that would be my fault

I enjoyed myself very much, so thanks to Jim for organising everything perfectly.

Having played Doug Kirk and Wes Vaughn, my ASL bucket list is now complete!

Enjoyed having you at St. Louis, Toby, however, I think your "bucket list" is still lacking. Maybe we will get to play the next time you are here. I know I would enjoy it.

I should say, they were the final guys on the list of top US players I wanted to cross swords with. I'd already played Pleva, Mei, Fort, Tracy, Robin, Bendis, Taylor and Sidhu.

Of course, I may have to add Ginnard to that Hall of Fame!

I suppose my one remaining ASL ambition is to design a scenario. Maybe one day...
