The must applies to GO.
If you fire the non-GO first, then the GO must fire.

If you fire the GO first, the non GO doesn't have to fire.

Then fire the non GO.
Re-read what Perry wrote:

If you can FG together, then you must.
If you cannot FG together, then you can fire separately.
Expect to see errata to clarify A7.55.
....Perry
The direction is VERY clear. If you can, you must, otherwise you are free to fire separately. There is no GO in there. Had Perry wished to ad GO, I am certain he would have. An MG suffering from Ammo Shortage CAN FG with other unit without restriction so it MUST per the Q&A. There is nothing that will change that. The question comes in the inter-play between A7.54 and A7.55. If a Berserk unit is in a Location with another Unit, it CAN firegroup so it MUST. If there is an Adjacent Unit that joins the FG, the Berserk unit CANNOT be part of a Multi-Location FG. The practical up-shot is a 2XMMC and a 1XMMC attack which should more or less be the same thing. When Perry deletes the "Good Order" from A7.55, all will be restored. -- jim
