finally managed to get myself a graphics tablet. :) To get some practice with it i painted two apples (digitally of course:) ) This is all done in photoshop. time taken on each: 15-30 mins. :) i'll post some more later. :D

pleased with this one, apple annoyed me a little. I used no refs for this, all done off the top of my head :p

2nd one pwns mate ;) the Critism i have is:

-The hint of light on the 2nd one looks to calculated, i mean u can see the brushes :( and just overall doesnt look realistic.

-The last is that the bottom is a lil to jaggy, mabee u could replace it some how?

Over than them 2 simple things it totaly owns mate well done.

EDIT> Ya i should be getting a tablet soon aswell :up:

Cool do they work just as if you were drawing on paper? Btw the first one looks really good, but i cant see the second one.

my friend got one on ebay for £20, not to draw but to use in Microsoft word, because you can turn on handwriting tool and you just write down the words and it converts it into text, (you can do it without a tablet, you can just draw the words like you would in paint), its quite fun, not always accurate if you have poor hand writing.

yeah, thats meant to be awesome for tablets. Might try to get it :D its better at mixing colours. :p

imo you need to work on the lines instead of just shading, which seems a bit off in the mix pic, on the apple it looks like its coming from the top right but on the bananans it looke like its coming from the left.

oops :eek: forgot about that. thanks :up: i wanted to experiment the lighting on the banana for some reason :dead:

also, the plate is dodgy too. :D the apple was annoying, it still doesnt look 3D to me :(

i think that could be the lack of shading, its all to dark, madebay the right side could be a bit lighter, with of course the gradual transistion into dark, also (and this is hard to explain so you might not get it) is that on the apple on the lower left in this case where you would think it is darkest if you make it slightly lighter you may see a difference.
