Maybe asking nice would work for you as well?

If Pinned tournaments is double, then new announcements of events will be found on the second page

Ask and moderators quite certainly will do it.
We should also be wary to unpin past events.

I’ve been pinning tournament threads without anyone asking and removing the pins when the tournament has passed. I thought it was a good idea.
It is a great idea. I authorize the mods to do so whenever they see a new tournament thread. I'd give about four to six weeks post tournament before unpinning. Sound ok to you guys?

Seems like there are more tournament announcements this time of the year over last year. I see that as a great thing for ASL.
