Notice how the single magnet stayed between the two smaller on the disc when moved? That gap shows the strength of the B field. A stronger B field would yield a larger gap.

Just something cool to have to freak people out. I ordered 100 g, cost me $20. I also ordered 3 100 lb magnets for some magnet fishing. Lol

I got my magnet putty and 100 lb magnets in the mail ! The 100 pounders are kinda dangerous so I gottta be careful. Next step is to see if my cell phone sticks to them. This is a picture of 50g of putty. Incredible!View attachment 52635

Oh the miracles of science. These are 15 min spaced photos of magnetic putty in action. That is a small magnet cube next to the tin.

You can see the putty has miraculously moved toward the magnet. My next experiment will be to eat some. Theoretically, I should gain awesome magnetic powers. Then I will light some on fire and observe.

You feeling "the Bern "? The magnets will interfere with the pickups. If stationary the effect will be consistent.
