Sherlocks Stand from the PTO Hero Pax. A lot closer than it looked like it was going to be...... Not much fun for the Commonwealth side, taking a shoeing and trying to survive tho.

SP57 Big Tuol Pocket. Nice short scenario. Lost with the US during the last turn.
FT90 "Sans esprit de Recul". Currently playing. We're on turn 4 and german reinforcements are coming; maybe it will become more interesting, because until now it's very static.

Played "Guards Counterattack" last night vs. a new-ish player.

If you're not familiar with it, you can download it as part of the ASL Classic scenarios.

Just finished my US setup for U2 Sweep for Bordj Toum Bridge. This one starts up on Weds via VASL vs Honus. Looks like good fun.

At turn 5 with Carl N. in Vulcans Forge. Things look grim for Carls' Soviets. Carl had some comedians with explosives, and they succeeded in bringing down the house, on themselves.

Playtesting for DftB, I played a scenario where the Germans setup with in yer face defense, and the US overran me in 2 turns. Started it again as a VASLeague game and used same setup. Am having a much better time of it.

Nice work SamB, tell them ASL sets you free....:p

hey,
We(Scott NEWBIE F. and myself) played another in our
continuing series of SK scenarios last night; "Simple Equation".
Scott was the heroic defenders of Aachen and I was the weak-willed
Green Hordes of Americans on attack.
A fun scenario.
Lots of laughs for both of us as our forces were whittled down to
2nd Line & conscripts by low ML and even lower ELR's.
I started with 14 1st Line Satan squads, ended with only 5 and
3 2nd Liners; Scott's ending force was 4 broken Conscript squads.
I thought I was playing "Italian Brothers" again!
In the last turn I managed to take the requisite number of buildings
for an undeserved victory that could only be called "Winning Ugly".
Good Game, Young Jedi Scott!!

hey,
Just finished playing "Welcome Back" from ASLSK1 with the
new guy Scott F. We had a fun/good game. Scott was the
Über-stud Germans and I was the "break like twigs" Americans.
I managed to stop him at the goal line...just barely.
I think Scott's gonna post a lil' AAR with some pics later.
He's doing well. I think he'll be ready to be competitive at
the West Coast Melee ASLSK tourney/7-0 mini-tourny.

Just got through five turns of Siberian Shockwave, and although my Germans look pretty strong it's in no way over. A really, really excellent scenario!

Player "To Hold?" yesterday as the Germans. That's not saying much since it's pro-German. Fun though.

Also played "Pavlov's House" from VotG as the German and lost. Good scenario. StuGIIIBs abandoned me in the middle of it. My very first shot gets a MC on Pavlov himself. Pavlov proceeds to boxcar the MC, then rolls 6 on wound severity. So this playing of Pavlov's House had no Pavlov in it from the very beginning. We struggled to find another name for the house during play.

The East Side Gamers have spent the last two weeks playtesting a new, small (three hours long) all-infantry scenario of mine. It's driving us nuts and we're having huge arguments over how to balance it. After three playings I decided on one "last" change to the OB, and so now we will send it to outside playtesters to fight over 'cause we're spinning our wheels.

These small, "easy" scenarios always seem to be the hardest to get right. :(

We had a game day here in Eastern MA on Saturday. Two games of "Russe! Drown in the Wolga" which were both German wins. There was one game of "Eviction Notice" that the Russians won.

And then there was a game of "Enter Dragan" that is halfway complete and they will probably finish it on VASL. That game was notable for a Russian thrown DC rubbling a hex of the Station that contained the German 75* INF, a MMG, and a number of other occupants. Oops... The thrower was pinned on a 2MC.
