Hi,

A sniper "2" result kills wounds a 9-1 leader who then becomes an 8-0. He dies on a wound severity of six.

Do the 8 morale troops with him take a LLMC or was he an 8 morale when he died and therefore do not?

Many thanks for any help............

The wound severity test comes first.
If 5 or 6, the leader dies.
Its morale is not changed.
A17.11 says that the wound "is treated as a KIA".
Only a 1-4 (or 1-3 for a previously wounded leader - but this is not the situation adressed here) generates the effects on the leader's morale , movement, etc.
LLMC applies in relation with its initial morale.

Similarly, if a 9-1 stacked with a squad suffers a K/ result and the leader is wounded to a 8-0, which "leader" applies its leadership to the MC of the squad?

If the wound is not mortal, I would apply the reduced morale.

You use current (-0) DRM. Likewise if the original attack was a MC and the leader rolls HOB, BH you use the -2 DRM for the squad MC.

Negative. As Robin has pointed out A17.11 emphatically states the wound severity is treated as a KIA, there is no sub-routine reducing the status of wounded leader to a lesser degree before inflicting the KIA, if an 8-1 is wounded by an attack and dies because of that attack (wound severity), units of 7 morale or less would have to take a +1 LLMC [EXC: unless exempt].
