SMOKE and Intensive Fire

My queston is can a vehicle who fired SMOKE in Prep fire then intensive fire another SMOKE round assuming it has not depleted its SMOKE?

Great question. No rule book handy (NRBH).

You can't get rate when firing smoke (unless MTR) so not sure you can intensive fire it either.

Yes you can. It can surprise some people, although I usually melt my tube when I try.

I agree with you Brian that it is legal and of course risky. My reason for posting was that everytime I try it my opponents challenge the legality of this manuever.

rshurtz: Good move. Despite the +2 breakdown, a little more SMOKE can't hurt. I used to IF for one more SMOKE round back when we played RB, even after laying down 4 or 5 SMOKE. Almost like an OBA mission with one MTR.

Randy,
Rule 3.33 (Area Target Type) states " Fire on the area Target Type by a non-morter consumes all of that gun's ROF for that turn (excluding Intensive Fire) ...
I submit that that allows smoke with intensive Fire.
