A lot of spam posts, that Moderators diligently kill every day with the fake accounts that send them, though.

I meant spam traffic that the moderators spend a certain amount of time every day clearing out.

Hell, I don't know. You're the one that said.....

The site admins risk losing a good chunk of their traffic if they don't fix this.

It's 2023 and this site is still not using HTTPS. Every web browser at this point will block access and make the user click through a warning for sites served over HTTP. Free SSL certs have been available for years.

What needs to happen so the site can switch to HTTPS?

I expect one of the site admins will have to ask one of their grand-kids to do it. If they can get one of them off their mobile phones.

I doubt that the spammers have anything against board games, as they are bots. Of course it's about money - they are trying to sell their crappy gummies and CBDs. The sites they direct you to may or may not have malware as well.

None of which has anything at all to do with the warnings people are getting. I had to set my Norton to ignore this site, which I hate doing in general.

One edge case, the "ENTER" link on https://www.gamesquad.com takes one to http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/index.php Which is to say, takes you to the non-secure site.

Once past that, that is inserting https back at the start of the URL, the various links I tried all stayed on https.
