The new character creation system is online and seems to be working well, except for a few small niggles here and there.

Show off your new avatars here.

One of my alts.

If you don't like the way your avatar came out, CCP is giving everyone one more opportunity to re-customize your avatar free of charge. You can read about that in the latest dev blog.

I didn't care for the way my alt came out the first time so here's my second attempt.

hehe getting better:cool:

See lots of people having issues like no access or not saving... One of my recustomized char portraits just gave me the first version again, with no possibility to change anymore...:( filed petition.

The devs already posted a response on that. It's apparently a cache issue. It can take up to two hours for the re-re-customized avatar to appear on the forums and up to 24 hrs to appear in-game. So after you save you will probably see the old one come back until the server updates.

yes, if you clear the cache it is corrected automatically.

No. It's not a local cache issue, it's a server cache issue. There is a thread about this on the EVE forums and people (including me) were trying to correct the issue by clearing the local cache. One of the CCP devs responded and said the avatar server is a bit overwhelmed at the moment and has a backlog to render all the new portraits.

Clearing your local cache is a good idea, but if the server is still backlogged on rendering it won't solve the problem.

Worked for me. Maybe because my portrait had been rendered before already.

Probably so. There was an initial rush of people creating new avatars but the server appears to be caught up now.

Anyone else have any new ones to share?
