Well, I guess your sig says it all about that move. :)

Have you tried Civ 4 Daryl? That is my favorite incarnation of the series. They lost me at Civ 5 when they made it 1 unit per hex - with hexes being potentially hundreds of miles in scale. But Civ 4 is sublime.

I have it but when I tried to install it said I needed to be the administrator or some such. That was a few months back and I have been too absorbed with PTW to try and correct it. Thanks for the input!

You probably just need to rt-click the .exe file and Run As Administrator. Anyway, it's a good upgrade to Civ 3 I think, if you can get it running. I have it through Steam, which takes care of all the installation.

Tried to install it without internet access. Not sure if that will make a difference. Not all that anxious to give up PTW yet. Still need to master Emperor level than on to Diety!

Gaming can reveal funny things about a person. Even in solitaire gaming.

Playing Civilization 3, PTW and one of my submarines just completed a fifteen turn underwater trip to one of my three smaller islands and completed it's journey by one of islands three cities, McGrath. For no logical gaming reason I moved the sub into McGrath ( sigh, a softball for Psycho) and gave the boys a turn of shore leave! Lol, gaming is really fun if you want to have fun with it!
Pervert!

Well I set myself up for it didn't I?

Btw rumour has it that you are really from Pervertmont and not from down South. I gave the purveyor of such malicious nonsense a thorough tounge lashing.
I've been told by a few peeps that I have no accent & they couldn't tell that I'm from the South despite me being from Louisiana my entire life (the first 20 years mostly from Bossier City/Shreveport or Alexandria areas & the last 33 from Baton Rouge area). #GeauxLSUTigers

The thread on Captured Finn Weapons spun off into updating or revising scenarios, specifically Fighting Withdrawal.

I have no problem with revising the classic scenarios, it's not like they are going to dissapear. I got to thinking that revising a classic scenario is much like a band covering a classic song.

Some covers are faithful to the original with just the flavor of the band being different than the original. Other covers can be quite artistic or quite different. Different doesn't always mean bad, or good for that matter.

If a designer covered a classic I think they should be able to revise that scenario as they see fit. Some players may like it, others won't. If it generates discussion and perhaps gets people to replay the original so much the better.

The Manila Question thread was getting hijicked by me mentioning food again. Crabcakes first then Zakopious mentioned scrape. Having been born in Altoona I grew up with scrapple as a breakfast staple. Pan fried served with syrup or butter.

Actiondebbie is not a fan and on the rare occasions I buy it chastises me for not eating the whole loaf. Justifiably so. Pensatll62 mentioned he used to eat it at Penn State until he found out how it was made. Lol! Scrapple is made from buckwheat and the " scraps " left from butchering a pig.

Actiondebbie had a similar experience with chicharones. Growing up in LA she ate them all the time as a kid and loved them. Until she found out that it was fried pig skin! Lol, ignorance is bliss.

I just planted our oldest kitty, Zoltan. He was seventeen. After the planting I started doing shots of tequila. Apologies in
advance if I drunk post and offend anyone. Actionjick loves his kitties and he was one of the best.😥

Condolences on the loss of a four-footed friend and confidant.
Thanks Noob. These things happen and have plenty of times already.

Doesn't make it any easier but at least can fall back on experience. After all is taken care of is the time for tears and tequila.
