Serena Williams Out at U.S. Open

She lost in three sets at the semis. Shock. The winner was a relatively unknown Italian. Another Italian beats the #2 seed to get into the other finals slot. Ticket holders are in a panic since the only thing they can do with their finals tickets is go to the match.

I caught the first set yesterday and even though Serena sailed through, I thought she was already in trouble. In her past matches, she doesn't will herself to that next level until mid-2nd set and she was already having to take herself to that next level early in the first set. Had to leave and didn't see the rest of the match, but apparently she just ran out of mental gas to keep it up.
