Movie titles can be fun:
Gone with the Wind (SSR Weather is Gusty)
From Russia with Love
Dr Doolittle (with many 6+1 leaders)
The Borrowers (Russian using a lot of Lend-Lease stuff)

"A Blunder 'midst the Thunder" Originally the name of an article about the Battle of Sabugal in 1811.

"A Snot on a Bramble" My parents' expression for something in a very precarious position or looking very out of place.

"Going to the Triarii" What the Romans did when a battle was going against them.

The naming of scenarios is something that interests me. Napoleonics with AH Napoleon's Battles being my other "thing", I try to find ASL-style scenario names for battles of the period, e.g. "Bennigsen's Blunder" (Friedland 1807), "Missed Opportunity" (Quatre Bras 1815), "Something Huge and Destructive" (Borodino 1812)*, "Davout's chef d'ouvre" (Auerstaedt 1806)...etc.

(*From the journal of a Wurttemburg officer of the eve of the battle..."We felt that something huge and destructive was hanging over us." He wasn't wrong...)
