runtime error

I just installed DA 2.04 and am unable to play the game. The message I receive is "runtime error 76 ,path not found", then the game crashes to desktop. Any suggestions? Should I uninstall and reinstall? If so, must I put in each patch sequentially or can I just jump to the most recent one?
