Just saw the movie.
I never thought I would again feel like I did as a kid watching A New Hope for the first time. I wasn't even sure what that felt like anymore. Rogue One reminded me. It's the best movie I have seen in decades, maybe ever.
I am very critical of Hollywood, then they go and do something like this.
I can't recommend it enough, I would see 100 times over again.

But are there any scenario possibilities from it?

;)
The whole thing is lifted directly from WWII legend.

The nuns walking through fire and so much more...not gonna spoil it.

I saw it Thursday night. IMAX 3D from the second row.... besides being a bit too close, I agree it was an epic movie. Lots of great action sequences and epic space battle. I'm a life-long Star Wars geek, so they'd really have to screw up to disappoint me.

I do wish they had done some more character development, though. I read Catalyst (via audiobook), the recently released prequel novel, so I knew the whole backstory of Galen Erso, Jen Erso, and Krennick. But if I had been going into the movie without that knowledge, the tension would certainly not have been as intense. Hard for me to know, though, whether that detracted from the experience of others. Did you read he book?

Don't get me wrong, I had a great time and am going to see it again next week.

I read that it was just a politically correct Hollywood space opera. And in the previews Felicity Jones has clothes on. What's with that.

Pretty damned good. But I'm not 100% sure about Peter Cushing returning. I could tell something wasn't right.

We saw it tonight. It is very good and I too recommend it. I know that "feeling" you're talking about. I saw Star Wars and Empire @ ages 7 and 10 respectively. Childhood defining movies to say the least. I had that feeling for those two. I've never recaptured that in my life ... not even tonight. I'm glad you did. Those are great moments when you truly feel like a kid again.
