If you are playing a regular, stand alone battle, not a campaign battle, that last for a few days, and some of your officers are killed, captured, or wounded on the first day, and they are replaced by Mr Anonymous, will Mr Anonymous stay and command his unit(s) until the end of the battle or will he be replaced at a sooner time, by a named officer?

If a officer is wounded, on day one of a three day battle, is there any chance that he will return before the end of day three, or is the game set up that if he gets wounded, he's out for the duration of the battle?

Thanks

If you have an officer killed or wounded during a stand alone battle Col. Anonymous will be there for the rest of the game.

What determines whether Mr Anonymous appears or "Replacement Leader" appears? Is it based on rank of the the leader that suffered the loss?

Thanks

And since we're on the subject, I hate Col. Anonymous and his cousins Colonels Phantome and Anonyme.

In the ACW games at least, wouldn't it be a lot more immersive if the anonymous replacement colonel were simply named Smith?
