There seems to be a movement afoot to petition CCP to remove killmails from the game, or at least to modify them so killboard whoring doesn't ruin the game. Worthwhile? Misguided?

I don't do much PvP to pay attention to them. I think any game with stats is gonna have the stat whores so I don't see a problem.

Since most pvp corps require a certain amount of kills per month you see lots of people km whoring by hanging around with useless ships and/or spreading their fire/support all over the place. This also leads to a lack of support, especially Cov Ops and Logistics.
-This can be countered by corps to have km only counted for a certain % (50-60%) and count other contributions as well (fleet participation, ratting, mining/PI contracts to corp, forum activity,...).
-CCP can modify the km to a minumum amount of damage to be done/time of support mod and/or spread the efficiency by the number involved.
