A recalled tank is in the woods. Spends a start MP and then bogs on the VCA change. I understand the the crew must abandon the vehicle with the possibility of scrounging but when does it do this? Abandoning the vehicle takes ALL MP and the tank has already spent a start MP and maybe the MP to change CA (not positive that it expended the VCA MP as it bogged). Does the crew stay in the vehicle until the next MPh or abandon the tank immediately? I see that D2.7 says that ALL MP does not include a start/stop MP but that seems to be only about going into a hex that requires an ALL MP expenditure on the terrain chart, so my thinking is that this does not apply.
My thought is that they stay in the vehicle until next MPh but I want to be sure as there are very different Defensive Fire options depending on when the abandonment happens.
