Seems like random.org changed their API and endpoint. The in-game API call does not work while the same URL pasted into a browser does. Details are here @DougRim -- jim

Edit to Add: @zgrose figured the issue out. I am just making it more visible.

I see this. I will see if I can get this done in the next couple of days. I have no idea what the fix would be? Until then it is the VASL dicebot. Or chess.

The early news is not good. This may not be possible/practical within the limits of VASL. It appears that we may have to pay for access to Random.org. Do not expect an early fix.

I sent an email to the poc at random.org to see if there is a path. As @DougRim said, I am not hopeful but I am optimistic. -- jim

I got a response from random.org:

Hi Jim,

Thank you for your email.

We were the target of some request floodings yesterday and had to
raise our protection levels in response, which I think is why your
client has stopped working.

The floodings have now ceased and we have restored our usual
protection levels. This means that your client should work again as
normal. If you are still experiencing problems, please send me
further details and we'll be happy to help.

Thanks again for reaching out, and my apologies for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
Mads

Many thanks for the info, folks. Just yesterday I updated to 3.7.6/6.6.7 and got the Random.org error message every time I tried a DR. Thought I had botched my upgrade until I saw this thread....many thanks for keeping the community informed.

So, based on Doug's response at 9:35 today, Random.org generated DRs should work now?

I tested my VASL earlier and it was working fine again. -- jim
