May russian AFV setup in Woods hexes?
If yes, do they have to roll for BOG for setting-up in Woods locations?

Thanks

I see nothing that would prohibit this. No Bog roll needed. This only applies upon entering, exiting, or changing VCA.

Question is because it says “AFV has expended 8MPs”..

Hmmm...that's a good point actually. Probably best waiting for an answer from Chas.

I hope you enjoy the scenario.
I was looking at my notes recently and was reminded of my playing this a couple years ago. It's a nasty little tussle. Very intense and unusual with the vehicle selection. Good stuff!

Another question about SBR 3 in this same scenario.
May russian units use armored assault in turn 1 with the AFVs? Those AFVs “have already expended 8MFs”

I can't see why not.

The AFVs merely have less MP to spend for extra fancy things such as turning, popping an sD, passing through terrain that costs more MPs etc. If it wants to do plenty of that stuff, then the infantry might be limited in how far it can get and not the other way around (as it usually is). That said, the requirement for Armored Assualt is (IIRC) that the AFV and Infantry begin their MPh in the same hex and not that they end it in the same hex. So the vehicle and infantry can spend only part of their way moving together and split up during movement, though they would be bound by the limitations that one cannot get further than the other had they continued on together.

I see your point.. less MPs to move even if not moving from the initial hex.

Thanks

My opponent in this had T34 get 6 ROF, including improbable CH on gun, never missing against 3 infantry hexes and a marder CH......turret spinning through 360 degrees in process. Going down to last turn/wire.
