S3.1 Lists a "Suspect ?" counter as (second bullet) --> a "Suspect ?" (S? hereafter) that represents a potential ENEMY unit(s) yet to be Activated and, as such, is considered a non-Activated, Good Order, unbroken Enemy unit. Each attack vs a S? is resolved as Area Fire (A12.13).

Normal ASL folks use HS to "bump" a Concealed unit and reveal the unit and, obviously, take potential file. Since a S? is considered a "GO..Enemy unit", can a FRIENDLY unit even attempt to move into "bump" a S? I don't see where a S? is considered "like" Concealment where FRIENDLY is "free" to attempt to move into that ENEMY S? Location. In addition, in theory, the S? could be just a single SMC in which case, the FRIENDLY could do an Infantry OVR.

So...even though the S? is non-activated, it is "still" a Good Order, unbroken ENEMY unit...so can a FRIENDLY attempt to move into/bump a S? Or is that move simply not allowed?

Thanks!

S? activation roll is always automatic if an enemy unit is adjacent per the x1 table.

Even friendly concealed units are considered units.

Therefore, such a bump attempt would never happen, because the enemy S? will either be activated or removed.
Exactly!
