Q19.01 Raff's Ruffians playtest v. Ernie Cameron; four turns completed in 2 hours, this fast and furious scenario for the upcoming Quick 6 IV has Colonel Raff and his paratroopers attacking a castle and its accompanying 88mm AA Gun. Note the all locations in the castle of Fortified.

The first turn the Americans moved up along the west side of the wall and in the woods along the board edge. Not much firing other than some ineffective fire from a lone German 2-3-7 in the woods T2.

The Americans moved into firing positions along the wall to bring fire against the west side of the castle. The wily Germans skulked back and forth leaving little opportunities for the Americans.

Turn 2 the American reinforcement (9-2, 2x 7-4-7, 2x DC) move on the north edge and move toward the castle, paralleling road on the west side. The west platoons approach the castle up to the edge, taking sporadic fire from Germans in the castle. Germans located on east side of the road leading to the castle fire at the 9-2's platoon. An American 57mm RCL managed to score a CH (14FT -4 DRM) on a 4-4-7 in the O3 castle hex, rolled a 8 on the effects, breaking and him and eliminating some dummy counters.

Turns 3 the Germans' reinforcements arrive and in preparation, the Germans break the 8-0, MMG, 7-4-7 covering the road behind behind the castle, allowing the Germans reinforcements unfettered movement into the castle. The Germans skulk in the castle keeping away from the American firepower

The German 88mm AA Gun open fire on the paratroopers (8-1, 7-4-7) in the courtyard in front of the castle and the 9-2, MMG, 7-4-7) behind the hedge pinning them. The Pinned Americans returned fire and broke the crew and forcing it to abandoned the gun for 1.5 turns.

At the end of Turn 4 (2 hours of play), the Germans have managed to fend off the paratroopers, continuing to hold the castle, the 88 has been out for two turns and crew has returned, the Germans are holding to the castle in strength as the Americans are regrouping for the end game.

Q19 Raff's Ruffians playtest v. Ernie Cameron; Colonel Raff and his paratroopers were stopped cold attempting to close with and assault the 88mm.

Some minor changes required by all-in-all a tense game on both sides, well done Ernie.
