Pushing a Gun into a trench

A gun can setup in a trench and cannot be pushed out ( ex. dm Mtr).

Can a gun be pushed into a trench?

I could find nothing in the rules to prevent this pushing destination.

Wouldn't COWTRA require you to post a rule that ALLOWS a Gun to be pushed into a Trench? Absent a rule allowing a Gun to set up in a Trench (which we have, B27.51), a Gun wouldn't be able to set up in a Trench since it couldn't legally enter that Location during play (A2.9).

In addition to Klas's cite, I would add B27.51 which says "Any counter may start a scenario beneath a trench counter" since it is past the "start", it may no longer reach there in the course of a game. Now, interestingly, I believe you can push a Gun into and through a Trench hex which makes little to no sense. -- jim

<Reality argument>A trench may not be wide enough to move a gun through it. It may have a prepared spot for the gun but that's all. Also, trenches zig-zagged, so someone couldn't sweep the entire length of the trench. Turning a corner may be also prove impossible.</Reality argument>
