Problem following patch installation

OK, saw there was a new patch and enthusiastically installed it. Now when trying to run the game I get the following error messege:

Component 'MSWINSCK.OCX' or one of its dependents not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
