Hey
I have precision dice but I am sure they are rolling low on average. Where is the best place to buy accurate dice suitable for ASL - ideally in the UK but anywhere really.

TIA

PS. Selling my old dice for £200 😂

BattleSchool for fashionable ASL-specific precision dice. Pricey pricey? [My faves re ASL]

Any vendor of Backgammon or Casino dice. Pricey? [I like these too.]

If you've more time than money, then any one-pound (or less) bag/box of "cheap" plastic dice [Chessex are nice] and select-by-test from them for a pair of tested-good ones. [I've done this to fill time.]

[If you know the technique (see Scott's post/link to my own procedure), it won't take more than a couple of hours, usually (considerably less in most cases).]

One word ... Battleschool, I have bought so many dice from them, professional looking dice that simply look awesome when being used.
Totally agree, I have a bunch of them and never blame 'bad' dice on the dice themselves, I just can't roll low at times, LOL! If a Dispatches from the Bunker subscriber they will give you a 20% discount after confirming with me that you are indeed, subscribed. Good luck with whatever you buy, roll low when you can...

I use Chessex 12 mm dice of various colors with the rounded edges. I find get good action in my chosen dice glass.

Just for the record - Rules As Written: ;)

"A.1 DICE: The rules often require use of a colored die to differentiate it from the other die in use. A set of four dice of different colors is included in ASL Module 1:BEYOND VALOR. A white die and one of the colored dice are rolled simultaneously and summed normally for most purposes, but occasionally the colored dr will take on added significance either by itself or in comparison to the white dr."

So according to the RB, you are required to use one of the (specific, i.e. included in BV) colored dice of BV. Only for the other die, you may use other dice, while nothing is said about them Siris, which might mean that we have to rule them out based on COWTRA.

Alas, the debate if we can't use a black die included in BV either, as black is technically no color, is languishing since 2018 without conclusion.

Unfortunately my official BV dice suffered an 'accident' years ago along with an assortment of other similarly sized and poorly balanced brethren, possibly related to their penchant for rolling 5 and 6 with unacceptable frequency, the red and blue were the worst offenders.

I am also a big fan of Battleschool dice, which do indeed seem to roll a much more even spread of numbers.
Even when they roll 11 or 12 they still look fabulous. :)
