My current Windows gaming box is:
- Random Force4 socket 939 Motherboard (current DFI Infinity but it goes out)
- Single-Core Opteron or FX-55 at 2.9 GHz
- 7800GTX not overclocked
- 2 GB ECC unreg RAM
- only 20 GB locally, games installed on my network server
- Keytronic E036
- 3-button Logitech mouse
- Sennheiser HD250 something
- usually using the 24" Dell display that I switch over from my server

Lately I have more success running Windows games in Wine, so more and more stuff will go to my server.

Used Syncmaster 955df Monitor that ain't at all flat.

Mediocre came with the computer type speakers (only thing that actually remains of that computer now).

Nikao keyboard (nothing to write home about, it's a schlock item).

Logitec Mouse (of course, it's always a Logitec mouse).

Now the case.

The actual case itself is nothing special. I think I could do with a nicer power supply maybe.
I have a AMD Athlon 2600+ 1.9 gh processor (hey it plays Civ IV so I'm happy).
1 gig of Ram (it's Ram I have no idea what kind).
Mobo ... yeah right, I know it's in there that's it hehe.
I have a 250meg video card, beyond saying it runs my software can't comment on it much.

I have a dvd burner, it's not dual layer ... yet. But what the heck, I can burn anything I want thus far, so it's good enough.
I have an additional dvd rom drive (just happen to have two dvd drives).

My hard drive is a 120 gig something. Don't recall the specifics.

Most of my computer's biggest assets are in the software I use I suppose. Hardware seems to be the easiest thing to acquire. But software, well just buying it isn't the hard part, understanding it, now that's a different matter.

If I could upgrade one thing, I think I would pick monitor. Bigger and flat would not hurt my happy level :)

Lol i sometimes go through a period when i aqquire a load of bits.

I think what will probably happen is i will get the 3.2ghz laptop back from my bro and my mum will end up with the 2.6ghz laptop

my bros probably getting a 2.4ghz desktop off my dad which has a 256mb gfx card in it so he'll prefer that for running his games as he has some that needed a 128mb graphics card which the laptop doesn't have. (i used to share a room with him till i moved out so he just played them on my desktop)

My computer sucks badly compared to all of yours.

Pentium 4 2.8ghz,
512mb RAM,
32mb graphics card, :kotz:
60gb HDD,
DVD ROM drive,
CD re writer drive,
3.5" Floppy drive,
4 USB ports,
17" CRT monitor,
bog standard Windows keyboard,
bog standard corded, ball operated wheel mouse,
and it is running Windows XP Home Edition (service pack 2).

It is absolutely useless for running games, it can't even run GTA:III smoothly. :dead:

Still, its alright for using the internet and doing work, I have consoles for gaming.
